“Music is the universal language… it brings people closer together.” – Ella Fitzgerald

It’s the event that Cookeville (and surrounding areas!) look forward to that signals the coming of the greatest season of the year… CityScape’s Fall FunFest, where we round up our siblings, our kids, and our friends to gather on Cookeville’s Historic Downtown to celebrate the coming of fall with handmade crafts, local vendors, incredible food, and foot tapping to the live musical performances on Main Street.

This year at the Fall FunFest, you’ll get the opportunity to enjoy menu items from six new food trucks along with our recognized local food truck favorites. With plenty of snack and meal options to choose from, you can grab a bite to eat, enjoy the music, and watch the downtown light up as we celebrate the upcoming season as a community. This two-day festival features performances on Friday, Sept. 10 with Great Peacock at 6 p.m. and The Lone Bellow at 8 p.m. Then, on Saturday, Sept. 11, you’ll enjoy live shows featuring Ethan Ballinger at 2 p.m., Smooth Hound Smith at 4 p.m., Charlie Worsham at 6 p.m., and The Steeldrivers at 8 p.m.

Heads Up! The Smoky Nights are celebrating the release of their new album Waking Up In Wonderland at the Red Silo 5th Anniversary Silo-Bration! The Smoky Nights are local to Cookeville and have a unique blend of instruments with pop/soul influenced vocals to create a high energy, upbeat sound. Join The Smoky Nights for their album release party held at Red Silo Brewing Company on Saturday, Sept. 11. Grab a copy of their CD, and enjoy a live show from the band beginning at 7:30 p.m. The Red Silo Brewing Company’s “Silo-Bration” is from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. The Smoky Nights’ new studio album Waking Up In Wonderland releases on Tuesday, Sept. 14.
