“Life starts all over again when it gets crisp in the fall.” – F. Scott Fitzgerald
Next week marks the official beginning of fall, and many of us are already creating our fall bucket list before the leaves start coming down. There’s always something new to look forward to in every season, but autumn… there’s just something special about it. It’s just got that je ne sais quoi that inspires us decorate our porches with tiers of pumpkins, create spreads of red golden leaves on our mantles, and start our day off with that magical blend of pumpkin pie spices in our morning latte.
With fall coming to greet us soon (on Wednesday, Sept. 22!), it won’t be long before you can begin checking things off on your list of fall must-do’s. There will be plenty of fall-related events coming up for you in Cookeville and surrounding areas. Stay hip to upcoming events by checking out our community calendar. You can find Hip Cookeville on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok for announcements, local recommendations, and a positive uplifting online community.
Be sure to check out the Cookeville Community Farmers Market for incredible locally grown ingredients to make your autumn inspired recipes even more cozy and flavorful. With several nearby recreational areas like Fall Creek Falls State Park, Burgess Falls State Park, and Rock Island State Park, you can get some fresh air and see those beautiful warm colors all along the trail. Don’t forget to visit one of our many local pumpkin patches and corn mazes in the Upper Cumberland.
