This weekend, we’re bringing you just what you need — a taste of that good ol’ fashioned British Rock’n’Roll. The unforgettable blend of American blues and rock inspired tones melted in with folk style vocal harmonies will bring you back to an era that changed the world forever. Come check out a high energy doubleheader British Invasion held at the very beautiful Cookeville Performing Arts Center this Friday, Aug. 27 at 7 p.m.
This upbeat performance features Forever Abbey Road and Music City Stones celebrating the vast music catalog of both The Beatles and The Rolling Stones. Forever Abbey Road is comprised of four professional Nashville musicians who create a unique show demonstrating what the Beatles might sound like if they were around today with current technology and modern rock energy. (Forever Abbey Road has also worked with colleagues of the Beatles including Denny Laine and Steve Holley from Paul McCartney and Wings!) Music City Stones is a Rolling Stones Tribute band based in Nashville, Tennessee. Featuring top Nashville musicians and performers, Music City Stones prides itself on integrity of the musicianship along with Louis Lee’s spot-on rendition of Mick Jagger.
